Juventus FC lost the qualification in front of the Polish side Lech Poznan. The match ended 1 - 1 and the Italian formation is eliminated from Europa League. The late equalizer from V. Iaquinta was not enough to help Juve progress to the next round. Juve's manager, Luigi Del Neri commented that the match should have been abandoned due to severe weather conditions.
The Italian manager stated:
"We did everything we possibly could tonight, wasting five or six scoring opportunities. We deserved to win. It was absolutely not a 'regular' game and play should've been stopped in these conditions, as you couldn't even see the lines on the pitch. With different weather, we probably would've won and even in this state we battled to the end. There are regrets, as we wanted to do well in this competition. Unfortunately, football is strange. In any case, without midweek games we can now hope to recover a few more injured players."
