Sir Alex Ferguson made 10 changes to the team that defeated Blackburn last weekend keeping only Anderson in the first eleven.
Giggs, O'Shea and Darren Fletcher couldn't turn the table in this match. West Ham goes through to the semifinals and "the hammers" coach Avram Grant couldn't be more happy about his players perfomances.
Ferguson stated after the match:
"West Ham approached it more of a cup tie and they got stuck in with well-weighed challenges and things like that. They got the crowd up for them. Too many younger players making errors and giving away goals," he added. "They can't give away goals like that, even though they're young."
