UEFA takes legal action in Cyprus and Switzerland

UEFA made a legal complaint at the competent Swiss court against Mr Spyros Marangos, the man that made some unsubstantiated allegations surrounding the voting in 2007 for hosting EURO 2012.
In parallel, UEFA registered a legal complaint in Cyprus at the Attourney General of Cyprus.
UEFA stated that these false allegations must be met with a ferm response to establish once again the integrity and the good name of UEFA and European football in general.
Another mentioned name in this scandal is the president of the Romanian Football Federation, Mircea Sandu, who supposedly received a large sum of money for his vote.
