Former Real Madrid coach, Pellegrini has agreed to coach Malaga till 2013. The Chilean coached Real last season and finished in the second place, 3 points behind Barcelona. Pellegrini made way for Mourinho at the beginning of the season. Pellegrini had 5 dream seasons at Villareal, finishing for the first time in club history on the second place in La Liga and reaching the Champions League semi-finals in 2006.
Malaga released the following statement:" Malaga Football Club and Manuel Luis Pellegrini have reached an agreement whereby the Chilean becomes the new coach of the jellyfish."
Manuel signed a 3 year contract with 1 year extension option for the club.
